2007-2008 TIP Teacher of the Year Awards Announced
Teachers’ Insurance Plan™ is pleased to announce the winners of our “Teacher of the Year Award” in Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Maryland, Missouri, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia and Washington. These awards are given in recognition of teachers who have contributed to the betterment of their schools, students or educational communities.
Teachers’ Insurance Plan received nominations for the awards from parents, students, colleagues and administrators. It was gratifying to see so many worthy nominees and challenging to try to select the best from among so many dedicated teachers.

Ohio: Michelle Byrd, a second grade teacher from Mason Heights Elementary in Mason. |

Pennsylvania: Ed Kerr, a construction teacher at the Mercer County Career Center in Mercer. |

Texas: Michael Madden, an eleventh grade teacher at William Clements High School in Sugar Land. |

Virginia: Kathryn Rodzinka, a teacher at the Valley Vocational Technical Center/Employment Training Program in Fishersville. |

Washington: Gayle Haerling, a teacher at Raymond Elementary School in Raymond. |

Teacher of the Year nominations for the 2010-2011 school year are
being accepted for the following states: Arizona, California,
Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Missouri,
New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia and Washington. Nominations must
be postmarked or electronically submitted no later than midnight on April 30,
2011 to be considered. Please see below for nomination form.
