2003-2004 TIP Teacher of the Year Awards Announced

Teachers’ Insurance Plan is pleased to announce the winners of our “Teacher of the Year” program. With nominations accepted for teachers in Connecticut, New York and Pennsylvania, these awards were given in recognition of a teacher in each state who has contributed to the betterment of his or her school, students or educational community. The Teacher of the Year for Connecticut was Thomas Kretsch, a physical education teacher at the Columbus Magnet School in Norwalk; for New York the award was presented to Anne Marie Todes, a fifth grade teacher at PS 114 School in Belle Harbor, Queens; and in Pennsylvania, Teachers’ Insurance Plan recognized Lynette Wray, a fourth grade teacher at Pen Ryn School in Fairless Hills.

Each teacher received a $1,000 cash award, and their school received a $500 grant.

Teacher of the Year nominations for the 2010-2011 school year are being accepted for the following states: Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Missouri, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia and Washington. Nominations must be postmarked or electronically submitted no later than midnight on April 30, 2011 to be considered. Please see below for nomination form.
