Teachers' Insurance Plan shares the privacy concerns of our visitors and we have developed this site with those concerns in mind.

Teachers' website without requesting a quote are not required to provide any personal information to Teachers'. When you request a free auto insurance quote, Teachers' requests personal information about you, others in the household and vehicles to be covered by/in your policy in order to provide an accurate auto insurance rate for Teachers'. Teachers' uses the information to generate accurate auto insurance rates, speed service and improve our website. If you purchase auto insurance coverage with Teachers', we use the information to activate your policy.

When you request auto insurance rates, Teachers' always asks for your e-mail address. Teachers' Insurance may generate e-mails from the submitted e-mail address to customers to confirm rate information, policy information or other reminders about our services.

You may opt-out of receiving e-mails from Teachers' Insurance by sending e-mail to Webcst@teachers.com.

Teachers' does not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to others. We may choose to do so in the future with trustworthy third parties, but you can tell us not to by sending an e-mail to Webcst@teachers.com. If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes on this page so that you are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances we disclose it.

Teachers' will utilize motor vehicle and consumer reports that may include credit information. Upon request, Teachers' will provide the source of these consumer reports and their customer service phone numbers for you to verify and correct this information.

Teachers' participates in several insurance industry-supported databases of reported claims and additional driver information. We may share information about you in the normal business of conducting insurance operations. Under the following circumstances we are permitted, and sometimes required by law, to share information about you if and when you become a Teachers' customer or claimant, even without your authorization, with 1) a third party if it is reasonably necessary to enable the party to perform services for us, such as claims investigations, appraisals, or the detection of fraud or material misrepresentations; 2) any of our affiliated companies who may provide services to you; 3) insurance regulatory authorities; 4) law enforcement agencies or other governmental authorities to protect our interest or to report illegal activities; and 5) persons or organizations conducting actuarial or research studies.
